Deceptive Marketing?

Today, I received a certain piece of mail that got my attention. See below. It is clearly very important – see it even says “Important information inside” and is in an official looking envelope.

Looking at the back, there is NO information where it came from. Also notice that is is market as “>>>>>> PRIORITY DELIVERY > ” Wow, this must be an important unpaid bill or maybe a letter from a lawyer? Am I getting sued?

I thought to myself, I have seen this sort of advertising before! It was Verizon. I remember I thought it was deceptive marketing. I wonder if it’s Verizon again? Yep.

Wow. How desperate are they that they want to trick people into opening their mail by placing advertising in an non-descriptive envelope and mark it as “PRIORITY DELIVERY” and “Important information inside”. Really Verizon?
