Corporate Exchange
While in the hallway, I was stopped and asked if I had Exchange setup on my iPhone yet and I said no. So we set it up successfully in less than 2 minutes. It seems to work great so far, however I DO NOT suggest selecting contacts when you set this up. First all of my contacts were gone, for me this is not the end of the world as I was already syncing with Yahoo Address Book and after I changed the Contacts setting back I reset up to sync with Yahoo and they were all back safe and sound.
NEW iPhone Apps
I have found myself in the habit checking what new apps have come out on the iPhone every day. Here is how I do it.
1. Go to iTunes
2. Click on iTunes Store
3. Click on App Store
4. Choose All iPhone Application on the left menu
5. On the upper right corner, click on Sort by, then Release Date
You will now have the newest apps added or updated in the iTunes store.
I’m almost ready to digg into today’s but first want to share a frustration. Has anyone else had trouble with apps not appearing on the iPhone after downloading in iTunes and syncing? I have downloaded multiple apps at times and on sync, not all are on the iPhone. Often 1 or 2 apps are copied over but leave behind another 1 or 2. After I sync again and sometimes again all apps will then appear. Very strange. I was hoping deleting the apps from the iPhone and reloading them on resolves this issue – but some apps were even still left on the iPhone. Wierd. Anyone else had this issue?
ON TO THE APPS!
If you followed along with the steps above, there is an update to Cro-Mag that adds an option to turn of the vibration feature! Wow! It’s like they read my blog!
There is an update $0.99 Flashlight app, it adds a picture of florescent lights…ugh…seriously developers – No one wants to pay you for your dumb Flashlight application, make it free or just stop creating more junk for the sensible people to sort through. I plead to you to atleast use some creativity such as the More Cowbell app released today. Although it is just a picture of a cowbell and a cowbell sound it definitely has a cool factor. Download this, take a break and play along. http://youtube.com/watch?v=EVbAuMr5eac
Then buy the song on iTunes (Don’t Fear) The Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult
I have a fever and the only prescription is MORE COWBELL.
New apps I am trying out (other than More Cowbell) are
Twittervision – another twitter app
BookSearch – find books cheaper
MyTo-Dos With Email Support
Also I wanted to note, there are a couple new Bible apps today, but I am happy wiht YouVersion that is FREE and does more.
UPDATE
Twittervision gets a thumbs way down. I typed 3 different messages, none of which after clicking send have actually shown up on Twitter! Why do I feel the need to change my Twitter password?
