Mining for Crypto Currency

This is intended to be a simple guide to begin mining now. We will start with Bitcoin to keep it simple. There are two programs I recommend for the beginner. One is very easy and the other is easy.

For bitcoin, it is no longer viable to mine with your CPU or your GPU. In fact both programs have phased out (or are phasing out) CPU mining altogether.

I suggest obtaining an ASIC USB mining device. I may be able to sell one to you – just contact me.

1. You will need a Bitcoin address to send your bitcoins to. I suggest blockchain.com/wallet
Alternately, use a Bitcoin exchange like Cryptsy.

2. Install the drivers for the ASIC USB mining device.
For the block eruptor, download and install the driver

3. Update your Java at java.com

4. Join Bitminter bitminter.com/login
Simply login with your Google or Yahoo login. Don’t worry, your info is safe.

5. Download / launch Bitminter with the “Engine Start” button on the homepage.
Note: On Mac, if it does not want to open due to built in security, hold control and click.

6. Bitminter should recognize your USB device, but if it does not, choose scan hardware on the top menu.

7. Click start and you should be mining.

If you have trouble, let me know, perhaps I will create a video.
